达菲是一个家。2023 年，它由六名女性、两名男性、三只猫组成，成员们活跃于多种多样的行业，如电影、插画、翻译、创意技术、建筑设计、用户体验设计、吃饭睡觉散发可爱等等。
达菲也是一个空间，现坐落于纽约布鲁克林的 Bed-Stuy 街区。作为家庭空间，它是流散者的共居试验场，以友缘家庭模式的韧性承载着八个人的琐碎和差异。作为半开放空间，它的客厅每周五晚向华人青年及其外延敞开大门，欢迎新老朋友来观看电影、吃吃喝喝、分享母语带来的种种滋味，在对话中共建避风港。
达菲还是一个正在进行的合作项目。成员们共同生活，同时也在发现生活、讨论生活、纪录生活、反思生活、表现生活的循环中，发掘因身份、关系、经济状况、城市节奏而难以稳定的家庭结构和日常生活的意义和潜能。
Dafei is a home. In 2023, it consists of six women, two men, and three cats, with members active in a variety of fields, including film, illustration, translation, creative technology, architectural design, UX design as well as professional eating, napping, and exuding cuteness.
Dafei is also a space currently located in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. As a domestic space, it is a testing ground for diasporic co-habitation that sustains the quotidian and dissimilitude of eight individuals with the resilience of a friendship-based family. As a semi-open space, Dafei’s living room opens its door to Chinese diasporic youths and their extended families every Friday night, welcoming friends old and new to watch movies, eat, drink, and share the flavors that come with our mother tongue. With conversations, a haven is built.
Dafei is, at last, an ongoing collaborative project. Family members not only live together, but in the cycle of discovering the shared life, discussing it, documenting it, reflecting on it, and representing it, also extract the meaning and potential of family structures and everyday life that are destabilized due to their identities, relationships, economic status, and the pace of a metropolitan.
